When were the Elkhart County Miracle founded and what is their mission?
The Miracle was founded in 2007, but did not start playing until 2023. Originally the team was set to debut in 2014 but things were put on hold until this season. The team currently plays their games at NorthWood High School in Nappanee, Indiana. Our mission is to add quality of space for the residents of Elkhart County, Indiana.
How does the Miracle aim to impact the Elkhart County community?
The team hopes to impact the community by providing a minor league experience for its players and fans. The Miracle are hoping to build a new retractable-roof stadium in Elkhart that will provide not only a world-class home for summer collegiate baseball in Northern Indiana but also provide a home for other baseball teams in the area as well as soccer matches.
Who are famous alumni or people associated with the team?
2016 World Series MVP Ben Zobrist visited the team during Opening Week in this year to sign autographs and encourage the players. Former Notre Dame Quarterback Evan Sharpley is one of the Miracle owners.
