For generations of Fort Wayne baseball fans, Memorial Stadium, known affectionately as "The Castle," served as the backdrop for countless summer nights, future Major Leaguers, and memories that continue to connect fans across the city.

Long before Parkview Field opened downtown, Fort Wayne baseball called Memorial Stadium home.

Opened in 1993, the ballpark quickly became one of the city's favorite gathering places. For more than fifteen seasons, families packed the stands, kids chased foul balls, and generations of fans created memories while watching professional baseball under the lights.

Known simply by many as "The Castle," Memorial Stadium remains an important chapter in Fort Wayne's baseball story and in the memories of countless fans who passed through its gates.
