A FREE, FAMILY-FRIENDLY EVENT

Old Fort Baseball Co Presents the 1st Annual Vintage Baseball Showcase: A glimpse into the past and the original of America’s Game where it all began, Fort Wayne, Indiana. 

 

 

FORT WAYNE, IN - the Indianapolis Blues and the Elkhart County Railroaders face off in the inaugural Vintage Baseball Showcase. Played using 1864 rules, this one-of-a kind event that will showcase vintage style uniforms, period authentic equipment to allow the fans to step back in time to see how America’s Game began.

 

 

The Vintage Baseball Showcase will take place on June 29th, 2024 at 2 PM at Lawton Park in downtown Fort Wayne. This is a free event and is open to the public.  It’s a family friendly event, complete with food vendors, giveaways and activities for all fans of all ages. 

 

Whether a fan is a seasoned baseball enthusiast or a newcomer to America’s National Pastime, this event promises to be an unforgettable experience. 

ABOUT VINTAGE BASEBALL

Vintage Base Ball is a pastime, with its beginnings and progressions mimicking those that occurred in America over 160 years ago. Teams competing today wear period reproduction uniforms, use period authentic equipment and follow baseball rules from the 19th century in order to accurately present the history of baseball to the public. Matches can be seen almost 12 months out of each year at open-air museums, living history villages, Civil War re-enactments and city parks and is played in over 20 states including Canada. *Vintage Base Ball Association
